Wowo Mndau is a pianist, composer, songwriter, producer and recording artist. Born and bred in Mamelodi, Pretoria, South Africa , his original compositions reflect a great diversity of style. He is best known for fusing Afro and Contemporary Jazz influences to create a sound that is distinctly.
He was introduced to basic Piano lessons by his uncle in the late 90’s , the late Bra Dan, who taught him traditional Hymns, and later studied Music Theory at Unisia where his passion for Jazz evolved . He joined Sheraton Pretoria Hotel in 2004 - 2007 as an in - house Pianist, then advanced to State Theatre Pretoria as
a music teacher. He had the pleasure of playing for the likes Selaelo Selota, Palesa and a few well known South African artist. Wowo Mndau has 4 recorded albums, Hills and Streams, Yours Truly, his debut album titled It’s Beautiful Day , released in , and 2010 his second album titled Uthando Lwami released in March 2015 . All his albums are released under Meek Music, his own independent record label. He featured great artists, to create the Contemporary Jazz gems.
