We will get back to you shortly Event details Jaques Steyn Western Cape Jacques Steyn performs as soloist, as musician, in cabaret, in bands (from folk and rock to blues and jazz), in orchestras, choirs, and as cast member in theatre shows. This year Jacques released an Afrikaans album Sluit dit oop in the genre is adult contemporary. For his present live shows he sings and plays keyboards, guitar and light percussion accompanying his own arrangements of pre-recorded orchestration. He has a vast repertoire of about 300 songs for performances in many different styles. Songs are performed in English, French, Italian, Spanish and Afrikaans. International hit covers include songs ranging from mellow, jazzy to rock and blues. Here is just a very brief few: Santana, Steppenwolf, The Doors, Sting, The Beatles, Bee Gees, Nat King Cole, Randy Crawford, Righteous Brothers, Charles Aznavour and many more. Some past highlight performances include: • Own compositions and performance featured on SABC2, in a series called Music from within • Houtstok Rock Festival – 1990. His band (2B2) has 2 songs on the Houtstok CD. They completed the largest ever Southern African tour by an SA artist, which comprised of over 125 shows in SA, Swaziland, and Botswana, etc, and all this was done in just six weeks! Thereafter they spread their wings and ended an incredible year with a huge New Years’ Eve bash on the beach at one of the top hotels in Dubai. Tempted by the international shore, they spent almost six weeks during August and September 2005 traveling across England, Ireland and Dubai, where they were invited to perform at numerous clubs and festivals including the world-renowned Notting Hill Carnival. Widely regarded as one of SA’s Top Live Acts, DENIM has a string of hits to their name, and performances at some of the most prestigious events in South Africa. He started singing opera at an early age at high school and won at numerous school competitions. He then furthered his studies in music where he obtained a Btech degree in Vocal Art and Bmus Honours in Vocal Pedagogy. As a professional opera singer, he performed productions such as Carmen by G. Bizet, Magic Flute by W.A Mozart, La Bohéme by G. Puccini, Le lísir Damore by G. Donizetti, Princess Magogo by M. Khumalo, Cosi Fanttute by W.A Mozart, Porgy & Bess by G.Gershwin, Elijah by F.
