We will get back to you shortly Event details Rusty Labuschagne Gauteng Rusty Labuschagne is a unique premier speaker on the professional circuit. One is immediately struck by his sincerity and humility as he delivers a dramatic account of his transformational experience. Rusty has been through a trauma few have experienced. In 2003, without a body and against police evidence, he was wrongly convicted of drowning a fish poacher and spent 10 harrowing years under horrendous conditions in Zimbabwe’s prisons during Mugabe’s rule. He talks about being subjected to conditions most people would find unbearable, having to draw on his inner resources and strengths to endure the unimaginable. In the process, he developed not only a life-saving resilience but also empathy and a keen desire to help his fellow inmates. His faith in God, positive mental attitude, leadership qualities, and lessons in forgiveness, gratitude, and humility bring a personal, transformative and authentic message of hope and freedom. Rusty’s message to audiences is that everyone is faced with challenges, but it is who you are, and the depth of your determination, that will get you through life’s darkest moments. He shows how one can harness one’s inner strength and let go of what one cannot control. What makes Rusty’s story so powerful is that he discovered personal freedom and gratitude in the harshest conditions which have given him a new perspective on life and business. As a successful businessman before his incarceration, he brings fresh insight into what it really means to thrive.

  • Gus Brown Band

< Back Gus Brown Band ARTIST ENQUIRY I am interested in booking Select a date First Name Last Name Email Company Phone Submit Thanks! We will get back to you shortly event details Kwazulu Natal Gus Brown is a terrific Warner Beach five-piece band. Their mix of folk funky original music (and some unexpected cover songs) has helped them establish themselves on the local music scene; they've also played a few big KZN music festivals and opened for Prime Circle in Cape Town, Jeremy Loops in Durban, and Mi Casa in Johannesburg. While improvising around a fire in 2012, guitar-playing brothers Dale and Nick met lead singer Gavin. Dale and Nick, by chance, preferred jamming guitar to singing, whereas Gavin liked singing to playing guitar... So, with Dale's original song catalogue already in hand... A band was formed on Gus Brown Road.Apart from the three founding members, the band has had a few line-up changes over the years, with the powerhouse bass and drum twin combo of Barry and Ryan de Beer leaving to join a new project, but Gus Brown have recently had the good fortune of welcoming two phenomenally talented musicians join the band. Both are exceptional multi-instrumentalists. Chad Porter on bass can belt out Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" like Freddie Mercury, while Brett Kenton on drums completes this incredible rhythm section. Brett possesses exceptional percussion abilities, as well as guitar, vocals, Jewish harp, and xylophone!Gus Brown combines all of the wonderful traits of a dysfunctional yet thumping folk funk family. TESTIMONIALS "I have no hesitation in recommending them for any performance because not only are they extremely passionate about what they do, but their music is of the highest quality."They can also keep the audience entertained during their performance because they can play a variety of music." Grant Rowley, Sponsorship and Events Manager at SAB"

We will get back to you shortly Event details Gauteng Mark Banks is one of the most well-known and respected comedians of his generation. Mark has at least one new one-man show per year in his 25-year career, and he creates and performs all of the material himself. Mark has consistently played to sold-out audiences around the country since his acclaimed debut in comedy. Nothing and no one is sacrosanct to Mark's blunt comedy, which is widely recognised for his political satire and ordinary dig at the rich and famous. He explains that he does so because "it's easier to look at the other side of things that don't have another side, and if they don't have one, invent one." Mark, who is notoriously anti-PC, claims he began performing at the age of 11 when he was "able to balance an entire Zulu rondavel and its contents on his chin while singing 'I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing' by the then New Seekers." His incessant banter and unrestrained one-liners have earned him overwhelming acclaim as MC at award ceremonies, corporate functions, banquets, and conferences, where he nonchalantly digs in to everyone with his potent brand of Banks humour.
