She got her big break in the locally produced and internationally acclaimed crime thriller “Cold Harbour”, screened at the Cannes, Berlin and Los Angeles film festivals. She then went on to feature in the Netflix hit ‘Black Mirror’ and Investigation Discovery’s ‘Killer Instinct’. South African audiences will know her best for her work as Chloe on the hit ETV SAFTA-nominated telenovela, ‘Broken Vows’. She’s not just a pretty face and holds an Honours Degree from UCT, specializing in Intellectual Property. “Bessick never backs down from a challenge.” After being challenged by her opponent to compete in the annual Celebrity Boxing Event, she accepted and joined the line-up as one half of the first female celebrity boxing match on the continent. The purpose of the fight is to raise awareness around the bullying epidemic in South Africa. Being a victim of bullying herself, the cause was one that hit close to home. Going up against an experienced opponent, she dedicated herself to training as a professional boxer. This year, Jacques released an Afrikaans album called Sluit dit oop in the adult contemporary genre. He sings and performs keyboards, guitar, and light percussion in his current live shows, which are accompanied by his own arrangements of pre-recorded orchestration. He has a large repertoire of over 300 songs for various sorts of performances. English, French, Italian, Spanish, and Afrikaans songs are performed. International popular covers range from soft, jazzy to rock and blues. Here are just a few examples: Santana, Steppenwolf, The Doors, Sting, The Beatles, Bee Gees, Nat King Cole, Randy Crawford, Righteous Brothers, Charles Aznavour, and a slew of others have all performed. Some previous standout performances include: • Own compositions and performances aired on SABC2 in the Music from Within series. • The Houtstok Rock Festival in 1990. On the Houtstok CD, his band (2B2) has two tracks. Best known for her current work as one of 5 hosts of the live celebrity news show V Entertainment on DSTV channel Vuzu as their longest-serving host, a judge on South Africa’s Got Talent and host of her show Lalla Land on M-net Movies channels. She first appeared on South African screens at the age of 15; as a presenter for the daily kids time channel Craz-e on E-TV. After four years, Lalla was head-hunted to SABC1 as a live continuity presenter and brand ambassador. A year later she played the role of “Felicia” on E-TV’s prime time soapie Rhythm City and as a dark angel on the E-TV show Axe Dark Angels. During this time Lalla also began presenting the show “Scar Tissue” for the new DSTV channel Vuzu, soon after which she joined the prime time, live celeb gossip show V Entertainment as well as becoming a live continuity presenter for the channel. While on Vuzu, Lalla played the role of “Bianca” on the bio-weekly soapie “Zone 14” on SABC 1 and a few months later she joined the “Tropica Island of Treasure” team and co-hosted the 3rd season, which aired on E-TV alongside DJ Fresh in Phuket, Thailand. Lalla co-hosted the reality hip-hop dance show “Masters of Rhythm” on Vuzu from mid-2011. In 2009 Lalla was featured in the FHM calendar and voted #15 in FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women In The World and #14 in 2010. She also featured in the yearly FHM Lingerie supplement in 2010 and is regularly featured in the magazine. This eclectic and lively four-piece outfit was formed in 2010 and contains the following seasoned musicians: Julia Lamberti is the lead singer. Keys by Pohl Finck Anthony Koopman plays double bass. Esra Isaacs: Percussion & Drums Julia is a well-known live performer, songwriter, and recording artist who enjoys performing material from a variety of genres. Her earliest passions, however, are jazz and blues, and her sound and approach are highly influenced by classic musicians such as Eva Cassidy, Natalie Cole, Nina Simone, and Norah Jones. Julia has performed at nearly every live music and corporate venue in the Gauteng area, and she was honoured to be a part of the 2007 Joy of Jazz Festival. Eskom, Sasol, Microsoft, Coca-Cola International, Massmart Holdings, Porsche South Africa, and Nedbank are among her prior corporate clients. Phol's performing style is classical jazz with soul and flavours of gospel, funk, and R&B. He has performed with some of the most exciting jazz and gospel groups in the Cape and Gauteng regions, bringing energy, inventiveness, and a distinct flair to each performance. Throughout his 25-year career in the local entertainment scene, Esra Isaacs has enjoyed playing at major festivals, corporate events, and television shows. His accomplishments include appearances on E-TV's "Back Stage" and performing for millions during the 2010 FIFA opening and closing ceremonies as drummer for the local outfit Steady Rock. This charming personality also operates Jazz and More, an artist booking and event production company, while continuing to grace stages across the country as a superb drummer and percussionist. The band has performed at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Hilton Hotel, Sheraton Hotel, Emperor's Palace Hotel, Summer Place, The Houghton Golf Club, The Pretoria Golf Club, Hyatt Hotel, Le Wine Chambre, Riboville Hotel, and a variety of other prominent sites and venues across Gauteng. They also had a two-year run at Katzy's in Rosebank, which is regarded as one of the top live music venues in Gauteng.
