The King Pies is the brainchild of Justin Serrao and Rowan Gibb. Untrained DJs, they consider themselves the Best Worst DJs in the world. The pair started hosting parties in their backyards around a braai selecting music to get their friends not only dancing, but laughing. They rapidly took this concept out of their homes and into the clubs and their demand for a good ol’ razzle for corporate events has just taken off! Their chosen repertoire comprises commercial hits from the 90s to 2016. Throwback to your Standard 5 Disco choons from Monster Hits Volume 3, to the radio hits of today. In December of 2015, on their way back from a music trip to Namibia, best friends, Ellani and Donné came up with the idea to create something special in the music world and so The Grey Duo was born, a unique violin duo. With a fiery passion for music, these two classically trained violin-virtuosos set out on a mission to stun their audiences, wow listeners and create an everlasting experience through their music. Even though they have an intense love for classical music and enjoy playing classical pieces, they also wanted to appeal to all music lovers by playing a mixed variety of genres. Classical music is black and white, they are ‘The Grey’ area. They play all the music they love which is where the magic of ‘The Grey’ lies, where all the colours and sounds come together in perfect harmony. Between the two of them, they have won numerous competitions nationwide and have performed together internationally, including Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Africa. For these two professionals, it’s all about mixing the old with the new, creating an electric atmosphere on stage by dancing to the rhythms and playing into the music, connecting with their audiences both young and old. The Grey’s repertoire includes a mix of classical, pop, rock and ballads from some of their favorite artists such as Sia, Michael Jackson, Queen, Justin Bieber, Abba and many more, as well as their own original music. We will get back to you shortly Event details Sand Artist With African Folk Musician Gauteng Live Sand-storytelling Artist Tawanda Mhandu, with accompanying African Folk Musicians from Stone Aged Souls and Roots Grown Deep. Presenting a magnificent and rare form of trans-artistic interplay between light, sand and musical atmosphere. This musical-visual storytelling harnesses the power of live “sandimation”, an imaginative and story-telling form of visual animation that inspires all ages and audiences. Mhandu’s fingers brushstroke through the sand, illuminating a tapestry of visual stories in constant metamorphosis which are projected directly from the light-box to the big screen for all to witness. This living art form is accompanied and inspired by instrumental music performed by a select musician-poet or trio from the well-known ensembles Stone Aged Souls and Roots Grown Deep. Originally formed in 2010 by visual artist Tawanda Mhandu (Zim) and composer/singer-songwriter Joel Karabo Elliott (USA/RSA), the Stone Aged Souls are based in South Africa and have performed for a variety of audiences including corporate functions and gala dinners, in rural village community halls, and arts festivals like Fete de la Musique, Shindig Awe, and Rocking For Rhinos. They were selected by Alliance Francaise in 2013 as a featured touring ensemble in southern Africa. In 2017, they launched a sandimation children’s film series for the telling of African history. As a large ensemble, they are currently producing a musical epic project called The Musical Ecology, which can be previewed here.

We will get back to you shortly Event details Pitch Perfect Tenors Gauteng Pitch Perfect Tenors Pitch Perfect Tenors are a dynamic, energetic group that caters music entertainment for all sorts of formal, informal & private events. With over 15 years of musical performance experience Themba Maseko, Thabiso Masemene and Simangaliso Thango form part of this magical trio that comes with different vocal timbres to create a magnificent harmonic melody that has won the hearts of many audiences. The group has made moves in the local and international opera, classical and musical theater scenes and have only just touched the surface. THABISO MASEMENE: started his formal voice training in 2004 with Mr Pierre du Toit with the Tshwane University of Technology. In 2005 he joined the Black Tie Ensemble where in the same year he understudied three roles by Donizetti, Nemorino in L’elisir d’amore, Ernesto in Don Pasquale and Renuccio in Gianni Schischi by Puccini; in 2006 he played his professional debut at The South African State Theatre performing, Beppe in I Pagliaci by Leoncavallo. Thabiso is also part of a successful group called the Gaabo- motho Tenors and has travelled to Germany and Uganda, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Nigeria. In 2007 he went back to study at Tshwane University of Technology and graduated Cum Laude in his National Diploma certificate, then completed his Bachelor’s Degree in 2009. As he was still with the University he played Nemorino in L’Elisir d’amore, Ferrando in Cosi fan tutte and Story Teller in Ntsikana by Henning Wargner. Sacred music performances are Obajah in Elijah and Mozart Requiem. In 2010 he went to Germany to sing in an international festival called Schelswig Holstein Music Festival. THEMBA MASEKO: a PHD candidate of musicology born and raised in Sebokeng Vaal, Gauteng. He obtained his Master of Arts in music at University of Fort Hare in 2022 .He obtained his BMus Honors in Performing Arts at University of Pretoria and his first degree, BTech Degree in Pedagogy at Tshwane University of Technology. His professional experience started as a Vocal Technique Lecturer at the University of Pretoria in 2014 to 2017 then moved to work as a Vocal Technique Lecturer at Tshwane University of Technology in 2017 and in 2022. He worked at The National School of Arts from 2015 to 2022 as a voice teacher. His theatre experience includes being a music director for Broadway on Mele production in 2021 and 2022 under The National School of Arts. Gibson Kente’s Too Late production produced by Johannesburg theatre in 2018. As a performer he specialized in Mozart’s operas and played the role of Tamino in The Magic Flute production by German Rhine Philharmonic orchestra at Joburg theatre 2016, in the University of Technology opera production, 2014 and also a production by William Kentridge in 2007. SIMANGALISO THANGO: Simangaliso Thango was born and bred in a small town called Kwa-Nongoma and later moved to Richards Bay where he formally began his musical journey in a school choir as a tenor soloist. He further went on studying music at the Tshwane University of Technology where he trained with Mr. Thamisanqa Zungu and graduated Cum Laude for his Bachelor of Music. He also holds a B.A. Honours in Arts, Culture and Heritage Management and a Master of Art in Cultural Policy and Management both obtained from The University of the Witwatersrand. During his studies, he took part in the school productions and played a role of Ramiro in (La Cenerentola)- Rossini (2014) as well as the production by W.A Mozart Così fan tutte (2015) where he played a leading role of Ferrando. He deems his voice as the prime asset that sets him apart and has been working as a professional artist for over 10 years. He sang Libiamo with the world renowned Pretty Yende in 2014 at the Linder Auditorium. He also sung on more than 400 shows in Greece where he was based for 2 years as an in-house soloist with Remarc International, and also participated at the local singing competition (Greece Got Talent). Not only is he a freelance artist but also works as an art manager in the public sector and has done so for more than 5 years, within the cultural and creative industries.

She completed her Matric in November 2015. From her very 1st entry at the National Eisteddfod at the age of 5 – she won her age category singing – Look for the “Bare Necessities”, and in the same year 2006 – she won her place on the South African team at the South African Championships of the Performing Arts. She won overall Junior Vocalist at the National Eisteddfod in 2011. In 2007 she was ‘Joey’ in Peoples Theatre (Joburg Theatre Complex) ”The Jungle Book”. Later in 2011, Alice in” Alice in Wonderland” and in the same year she understudied her sister as Belle in “Beauty and the Beast”. During 2012 she was Ariel – “The Little Mermaid”, Miss Pepper – “The Gingerbread Man 2” and in 2013 played Fairy Flora in "Sleeping Beauty". She has sung Opera Arias with the JHB Symphony, The Rand Symphony and JHB Philharmonic Orchestras. (The Olympia Aria from The Tales Hoffman). During November 2011 she was invited to sing an aria from the “Tales of Hoffman” with the Rand Symphony Orchestra during the South Africa/French Season at Pro Musica and the Soweto Theatres. Isabella has performed at many Corporate and Charity events and functions and during the FIFA 2010 World Cup she performed at the SuperSport Fan Fest after a rigorous audition process. For relaxation Isabella writes long ‘notes’ on her philosophy of life and other topics. She is a ventriloquist too, and has performed at The Lyric Theatre in “Born To Perform” with her puppet Rosie in 2015 and was the runner up in SAs Got Talent in 2015.
