  • The Cover Ups

< Back The Cover Ups ARTIST ENQUIRY I am interested in booking Select a date First Name Last Name Email Company Phone Submit Thanks! We will get back to you shortly event details Gauteng The Cover Ups have brought a fun, youthful feel back to the old classics, which is proving extremely popular with clients looking for a sophisticated band for their Networking Events, Black-Tie Dinners, and even Baby-Showers, as this incredible group, while still extremely young themselves, has taken on some of the industry's most mature and melodic music. Their harmonies are excellent, as are their basic acoustic versions of popular songs. While they haven't changed the music since they believe that classics were classics for a reason, this young ensemble connects with today's 25-plus market simply by being their peers. The Cover Up is bringing a degree of sophistication to their performance, following in the footsteps of young legends like Michael Buble, who made it "cool" to revisit old swing classics. Simeon Hamman's (Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, and Banjo) creation. The usual band is a four-piece consisting of keyboard, percussion, and violin, which allows them to play either a gentle background set or a somewhat more lively set... Yes, there are a few recent hits tossed in only for those parties that need to be "warmed up" (available on request or as the night demands!).

We get back to you shortly Event details Western Cape Abavuki is a Langa, Cape Town-based Afro-Fusion World Music Ensemble that has been performing contagious cheerful beats across South Africa and internationally since 2001. These gifted multi-instrumentalists combine traditional African instruments (drums, percussion, and marimbas) with brass (trumpet and trombone) to create their distinct, vibrant, and contemporary Mzansi sound, which is firmly based on African music principles and influenced by kwaito, jazz, and Latin American rhythms. Abavuki have released various albums, performed at top local & international festivals including being selected for Womex 2014, toured Europe (Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, and more) & China, and a career highlight was being commissioned to record "Africa Got Soul" to celebrate Motown's 50th anniversary. Interaction: Abavuki can give interactive drumming (along with additional drums for the crowd). They also do the Abavuki shuffle, a crowd-pleasing dance that they have performed all over the world and in South Africa. Configurations: Abavuki is a 6- to 8-piece band, however smaller lineups are available upon request. The band also collaborates with local African dancers, both traditional and street dancers, and can provide a music and dance display for any occasion. This solution is one of the lower-cost solutions in the market place and looks impressive whilst being affordable and not pushing up budgets. Filmed either on location or in their virtual studio/sound stage close to OR Tambo Airport and edited swiftly after recording. You can display branding on their LED screen or go with something a little more showbiz and bespoke. Each video will make your guests feel as though they are watching someone on stage at an event rather than being in their front room. Pricing depends on the kind of recording that is required
