Her love for performing, and in particular singing, grew to such an extent that she made the decision to take up a full time career in the art form. Opera is however not her only speciality or love. Her amazing versatility and ability to cross over the various musical genres is what makes her a uniquely talented performer. She completed her BTech Degree in Vocal Arts/Opera at the Tshwane University of Technology (cum laude) and received a comprehensive bursary for “”Best student in the Performing Arts Department””. Whilst studying she was a member of the Afrikaans All-girl-rock-band, Saarkie. This group toured throughout South Africa, recorded two albums and featured on television as invited guests on shows such as Steve Hofmeyer’s talk-show, Dis hoe dit is. Annemarie’s passion for songwriting and composition came to the foreground over this period and three of her songs are still receiving substantial radio airtime. Annemarie left the group to focus more on her classical/opera career in which time she completed her BMus Honours degree in opera at the University of Pretoria (cum laude). Her love for the theatre grew more and more in this period and she took part in numerous Student Opera productions singing leading roles. She was offered a permanent position in 2012 as a soloist at Mimi Coertse’s “”Black Tie Ensemble””, now better known as Gauteng Opera. She worked full-time for the company until 2014. Annemarie also made her professional debut in the Mozart Opera Cosi fan Tutte at the Pretoria State Theatre, portraying the role of Dorabella. In 2015 Annemarie attended and completed the Malie Kelly course, “Follow Me”. She was the main soloist at the final end-of-course extravaganza concert. In 2015, Annemarie auditioned and was accepted into Cape Town Opera (CTO) and has been with the company since. Annemarie is a vibrant, hardworking, talented and very dedicated artist who would love to gain more experience in acting, dancing and most definitely in the singing industry at large. ”

We will get back to you shortly Event details Yasheen Modi Gauteng In the early 1830s, Polish composer Frédéric Chopin wrote the Revolutionary Etude, one of his most difficult pieces that symbolized Poland’s fierce resistance to Russian rule. Hearing this piece ignited my journey as a pianist. Three years later, at age 12, I entered my first national music competition, progressing to the final round. My fingers slipped during my performance of the etude – the silence was deafening. I didn’t win. A year later, however, I re-entered that same competition, made it to the final again, and made no mistakes. I played like I’d never played before, and I won. As a pianist I can recreate any melody by ear within minutes, and blend songs seamlessly. I’ve performed and composed music from classical pieces (sharing the stage with the Cape Town Philharmonic orchestra) to jazz (winning Battle of the Bands), film (earning best original score for the 48-hour film festival), hip hop (producing an album with a long-time friend and local rapper) and live scores (performing for The Universe On Stage). I also finished high school as one of South Africa’s top students, graduated summa cum laude from Wits University and qualified as an actuary. I see music as the purest and simplest form of expression. With my background and performance experience of over 25 years, I believe I can give any occasion the distinction and emotion that it deserves. You don’t become a Sanlam Best Young Pianist award winner at 12 by being ordinary. Yash skillfully evokes emotion through both musical covers and original compositions. < Back Vikash Mathura Gauteng Vikash Mathura (48) is one of the most recognizable and respected personalities in the South African entertainment industry. Academically, he is armed with two Masters’ Degrees (in Business Administration and Marketing). He spent 27 years in the Corporate Sector, working in Executive Leadership roles for various local and global multinational corporations. But while he has a talent for the sciences, he also has a passion for the arts. In 1991, Vikash was spotted whilst modeling for various fashion brands in Durban. After beating out more than 5000 applicants, he became the first South African Indian anchor presenter on SABC Television’s “Impressions” magazine show. A year later, he was asked to audition for a vacant presenter’s role on Lotus FM Radio. He had never harbored any ambitions to work on Radio or Television, but his entry into the radio industry sparked a love affair that would last for 22 years. From 1992 to 2014, Vikash was ranked as the station’s number one presenter, having consistently hosted its highest-rated shows. During this time, he began experimenting with voices and mimicry, a talent that he would introduce on his radio shows in the guise of various characters that he would create. In 1997, Vikash co-created the “Peru & BalaTM” brand. To date, this trademarked and copyrighted brand remains the most successful comedy creation in the history of the South African Indian entertainment scene. Vikash also expanded his portfolio into theatre. He has appeared as the lead actor in more than 850 theatrical productions, many of which were in sold-out tours.
