Double Espresso

Gauteng

Italian Jazz Duo

Italian Jazz Duo Double Espresso brings together Cristiano Ilari's resonant double bass and Pamina Bohrer's captivating soprano vocals. Both hailing from Italy but now rooted in South Africa for two decades, their paths intersected fortuitously amidst the post-COVID landscape, sparking a shared passion for new musical horizons.

With a dynamic fusion of high and low frequencies, Double Espresso crafts a captivating sound that resonates with audiences far and wide. Specializing in corporate gigs and entertainment, their repertoire transcends boundaries, spanning jazz, pop, and international hits in Italian, French, Portuguese, and Spanish. Pamina effortlessly transitions between these languages, infusing each performance with authentic flair.

Pamina's musical journey began in the Coro Giuseppe Verdi opera choir in Gauteng, where she lends her soprano talents as both a choir member and soloist. From the grandeur of classical opera to the improvisational spirit of jazz and pop, she seamlessly navigates diverse genres with grace and finesse.

Complementing her artistry is Cristiano's rich background in jazz and classical music. A graduate of Rossini Music School in Pesaro, Italy, Cristiano's mastery of the double bass has graced stages across Cape Town and Gauteng for over a decade. Whether in intimate duos with pianists or commanding larger jazz ensembles, his virtuosity and versatility captivate audiences at every turn.

Together, Double Espresso brews a delightful musical blend, inviting listeners on a soul-stirring journey through the realms of rhythm and melody. With each performance, they redefine the boundaries of possibility, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who experience their harmonious magic.
