Ike Moriz

Ike Moriz, a well-known international South African pop sensation, singer, producer, songwriter, and actor, has released 20 albums ranging from original melodic indie Rock/Pop to Latin/Easy Listening, Lounge, Blues, and Jazzy.

His songs have charted at No. 1 in the United Kingdom, Holland, South Africa, and Germany. Ike's early tracks were consistently named 'top song of the month' on David Bowie's website!

This prolific and versatile artist has also appeared in many major international feature films such as 'Alfie,' 'Shanghai Knights,' and 'Love Actually,' as well as local TV shows such as 'Showbiz Report,' 'Top Billing,' and 'Backstage,' as well as UK TV series such as 'Eastenders,' 'Family Affairs,' and 'The Bill,' and 'Strike Back - Project Dawn.After a jet-setting upbringing, 'South Africa's own indie pop idol' studied music and acting in South Africa, Germany, and Holland.

The multi-lingual singer lived in London for five years, fronting rock bands, performing in musicals, and founding his own label, Mosquito Records London, before returning to his home nation of South Africa in 2005, where he was named one of the top five singers in South Africa in 2006.

Ike has performed with his band of renowned session musicians at all major venues in Cape Town and Johannesburg, including Kirstenbosch, City Hall, V&A Waterfront, FTV, Back2Basics, Blues Room, Oude Libertas, and The Crypt.

Other notable musicians that have performed with Ike Moriz include the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, Judith Sephuma, and The Parlotones, among others. Ike presented his very first "best of" compilation in Africa and Europe on his highly anticipated "Millennium Hits Tour 2019."

Ike released his 20th studio album 'Dragons' in 2020. The Dragons-Tour has been rescheduled for 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
