The Balkan band's song is incredibly infectious and creates an instant party! Music from Serbia, Turkey, Lithuania, Russia, and Ukraine is included in the films Black Cat White Cat, Buba Mara, and Time of the Gipsies.
Playing with Fire was a founding band of Cape Town's first Balkanology parties, performing in four of them with thirteen musicians on stage! For nearly two years, the band performed as a quartet on the last Saturday morning of every month at the Biscuit Mill fresh food market in Salt River.
The band can currently expand to six members, with Charles Summerfield on vocals in the cheeky Barat style.
