Janie Bay

Janie Bay, who is from the lovely Helderberg area of Cape Town, began her career with her solo effort, ""I Remember,"" which achieved three No. 1 singles on local mainstream and student radio stations. Janie and her brother (The Beard) began performing her then-current tracks in an acoustic / unplugged setting after the album's release in April 2011.

This was a completely natural evolution because they wanted to keep composing and playing without the financial constraints of session musicians. This evolution resulted in their most recent live effort, "Janie & The Beard."

Since 2012, they've had numerous successful tours, played over 100 performances each year, toured every region in the country, and have been called to perform abroad on a regular basis. They've been on 5FM, Two Oceans Radio Vibe, SABC 3, and RSG. Oppikoppi, White Mountain Festival, STRAB, Up The Creek, KKNK, and Park Acoustics are among the many festivals and corporate events they have performed at.

She has played alongside local bands such as Jack Parow, Matthew Mole, Die Heuwels Fantasies, aKing, Francois Van Coke, and Valiant Swart, to mention a few. She is determined to share her music with friends she has made and others she meets along the path."
