Mzanzi Youth Choir
Gauteng
The Mzansi Youth Choir is widely regarded as Africa's premier display choir.
One World Music Festival, M-Net Idols, Huisgenoot Skouspel, Starlight Classics, The Voice, The Presidential Inauguration, KKNK, The National Arts Festival, The South African Music Awards, and appearances with Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, and Celtic Women are among her performance highlights.
Performances in Canada, Denmark, England, Scotland, Russia, and Turkey are among the international highlights. The choir sang in the International Youth Choir Festival at the Royal Albert Hall in London in April 2017. The Mzansi Youth Choir was the only African choir chosen to play at this prestigious international event.
During the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the choir performed the official World Cup song 'WakaWaka' alongside Columbian singer Shakira and local band Freshly Ground at both the Kick-Off Concert and the World Cup Final.
Mzansi's lovely, youthful sound, exhilarating dancing, throbbing energy, buoyancy, brightness, and devotion to South African music are all unforgettable.
TESTIMONIALS
"THE MZANSI YOUTH CHOIR ECLIPSED ALL OF THIS." TO SAY I WAS OVERWHELMED BY THESE TEENAGE SINGERS' MUSICAL QUALITIES - SUPERB INTONATION, RHYTHMIC PRECISION, SOFTY BLENDING BASSES, SPARKY, EXUBERANT SOPRANOS - WOULD BE AN UNDERSTATEMENT."
- THE LONDON TIMES, U.K.
"HOOK INTO THE MZANSI YOUTH CHOIR AND YOU COULD LIGHT UP A SUBURB."
ARTSLINK -
"DURING LAST WEEK'S IDOLS EPISODE, THE MZANSI YOUTH CHOIR STOLE THE SHOW." EVEN THE DIFFICULT-TO-PLEASE RANDALLABRAHAMS SAID THEY WERE "DYNAMIC, TOGETHER, AND ENERGISED."
